The winter season at Tále had a slower start, but currently offers everything that makes for a good ski day. Ski Tále opened traditionally on December 26th and thanks to favorable freezing days, conditions on the slopes are now very good.

From the Beginner Lift to a Wider Range of Slopes

December was unpredictable weather-wise. Plus temperatures and wind initially allowed only the beginner lift to operate. However, with the arrival of colder weather, technical snowmaking started up and gradually more ski runs became accessible.

“We’re making full use of the minus temperatures. Currently, four out of six lifts are in operation (as of January 5th) and skiing conditions are very good,” says Miroslava Rybovičová from Ski Tále marketing.

Slopes, Services and Relaxation in One Place

Today, skiers at Tále will find regularly groomed ski runs that suit families as well as more experienced skiers. During the day, the resort’s facilities come in handy – Grey Bear and Stodola restaurants, ski school, rental and service.

A new addition this winter season is the Northfinder sports shop, which has expanded the offering with ski and ski-touring clothing and practical accessories.

Advantageous Skiing for Železiarne Podbrezová Employees

The good news is that ski pass prices have remained unchanged this season as well. Employees of Železiarne Podbrezová additionally have access to discounted transferable ski passes.

For 28 euros, they get 20 rides that can be used over multiple days. The ski pass is valid until the end of the 2025/2026 ski season and can be purchased directly at the resort ticket office upon presentation of an employee card.

Winter at Tále Beyond the Slopes

Skiing is not the only attraction of winter at Tále. The season opened with the New Year’s Malalata party and during winter, public races Northfinder Cup will also take place. The first of three rounds is scheduled for Sunday, January 25th.

Winter at Tále continues and offers space for active relaxation, sports and a pleasantly spent day in the mountains.
