More than a thousand visitors came to Ľupča Castle during Easter
Easter holidays traditionally attract people to trips, relaxation, and discovering new places. While some spend their time in nature or take advantage of the last opportunities for spring skiing, many also head out to explore history and culture. This spirit was reflected in the Easter days at Ľupča Castle, which welcomed more than a thousand visitors from across Slovakia and abroad.
The castle came alive with visitors and stories of history
Throughout the holidays, the gates of Ľupča Castle were open to the public. A total of 1,146 visitors came to see this historical monument, representing a very strong attendance for this period.
Visitors had the opportunity to take guided tours, during which they learned many interesting facts about the castle’s history, its former owners, and the gradual reconstruction that has made it one of the region’s important cultural landmarks.
Spring atmosphere and views worth seeing
A major attraction was also the panoramic views from the castle walls, offering sights of the blooming spring landscape. Combined with favorable weather, this created an ideal setting for a family trip or a peaceful holiday moment.
Families with children, tourists, and individuals alike enjoyed the unique blend of history, nature, and relaxation.
Refreshments and visitor comfort
During the holidays, a refreshment stand in the courtyard was also open, where visitors could relax and enjoy some food and drinks. This service enhanced the overall experience and allowed guests to spend more time on the castle grounds in a pleasant festive atmosphere.
Ľupča Castle lives beyond the holidays
Ľupča Castle remains open to the public even after Easter. During the spring months, it operates under a standard schedule:
• weekends and public holidays: guided tours every hour from 10:00 to 15:00
• weekdays: access to the lower courtyard with thematic stops
• Monday: the castle is closed to the public
Tradition, region, and shared values
Ľupča Castle is an important part of the cultural heritage of the Horehronie region, which is closely connected to the industrial history and present of Železiarne Podbrezová. This connection between tradition, history, and regional life gives such places a unique significance.
The Easter visits once again confirmed that historical monuments have something to offer to all generations and continue to attract people seeking experiences, knowledge, and relaxation.
