The end of May at the Private Secondary School of Železiarne Podbrezová was marked by a festive atmosphere. Nearly eighty graduates successfully completed their four-year studies and closed an important chapter of their lives. The traditional graduation ceremony became a symbolic bridge between the classroom and the new opportunities awaiting them in further education, professional careers, or among the future steelworkers of Železiarne Podbrezová.

The ceremony took place at the House of Culture of Železiarne Podbrezová and was attended by graduates, their parents, teachers, company representatives, and other guests. Among the distinguished attendees was Dagmara Al-Khaldi Mičeková, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic.

The ceremonial speeches included words of appreciation for successfully passing the final examinations and encouragement for the graduates’ future paths. Martin Domovec, Member of the Board of Directors and Technical Director of ŽP a.s., praised the graduates’ determination and emphasized the importance of the professional knowledge and practical skills they had acquired during their studies. He also expressed gratitude to teachers, vocational training instructors, workplace mentors, and parents who supported the students throughout their educational journey.

School Principal Miriam Pindiaková reminded the audience that the graduates had completed four years filled with learning, competitions, projects, and valuable experiences. She highlighted their perseverance and ability to overcome challenges. At the same time, she thanked everyone involved in the development of the school and in creating high-quality conditions for education.

The program also included an awards ceremony recognizing the most successful students. The title of the school’s top students was awarded to Denis Guzma and Miriam Kubeková, who received valuable awards and addressed the audience on behalf of the graduating class.

Recognition was also given to teachers and vocational training instructors for their many years of dedicated work in educating future professionals. Class IV.H received a financial reward for its achievements in the field of school safety and property protection. The Klára Jarunková Primary School in Podbrezová was also recognized for its excellent cooperation in recruiting future students.

The official ceremony was followed by a cultural program prepared by the school’s students and teachers. The graduation ceremony thus fittingly concluded an important stage in the lives of the graduates and opened the door to further studies, professional careers, and new challenges. We wish all graduates every success, wise decisions, and the courage to pursue their future paths.
