Circular Economy
Our production takes place in an electric arc furnace (EAF), where we process thousands of tons of steel scrap annually.
Steel does not end – it merely begins a new cycle.
This technology is in line with activity 3.9 of the EU Taxonomy and significantly contributes to the goal of Climate Change Mitigation (CCM). EAF production has a significantly lower carbon footprint than traditional blast furnaces. Steel is a unique material – it can be recycled repeatedly without loss of quality. The result is a new, full-value product with a smaller environmental footprint.
Key indicators
Ecological and Economic Approach
Our strategy is not only environmentally responsible – it is also economically efficient and technologically advanced. We produce high-quality steel with minimal environmental impact while simultaneously contributing to the fulfillment of the European Union’s climate goals.
96% of waste is recycled
100% environmentally friendly products
50 collection points within a 250 km radius
40 Eiffel Towers of material
Environmentally sustainable activity
We recycle at a rate of 96%
Up to 96% of the input raw material in our production consists of recycled steel scrap. We achieve this high proportion thanks to modern technologies and a long-term established strategy for sustainable production.
Our production process meets the requirements of the EU Taxonomy and is classified as an environmentally sustainable activity in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2020/852. We thus contribute to the goals of the Green Deal and Europe’s carbon neutrality by 2050.
Local raw materials

50 collection points within a 250 km radius
To minimize the carbon footprint from transport, we source scrap within a 250 km radius of our production facility, through the network of our subsidiary companies – Eko Qelet and KBZ.
Thanks to the use of high-quality recycled material and local sourcing of inputs, we significantly reduce the environmental impact of our operations and contribute to a low-carbon future in steel production.
A second life for every ton of steel
Fully Recyclable Products
Our pipes have a long lifespan – and when they reach the end of their service life, they can be recycled again and again. This is why we speak of circular steel – steel that originates from recycled material and can itself return to production after its lifespan.
Input: up to 96% steel scrap – saving natural resources

From steel scrap to the Eiffel Tower

40 Eiffel Towers
Thanks to an efficient recycling process and modern technologies, we are able to process up to 400,000 tons of steel scrap annually. This volume would be sufficient for the construction of an entire skyscraper city – or 40 iconic Eiffel Towers.
Instead of steel becoming waste, we transform it into new, long-lasting products – while simultaneously protecting natural resources and reducing the environmental footprint of production.
