ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY HUMANRESOURCES Important management tools of the Company include the environmental management system compliant with ISO 14 001 standard, which allows the analysis, control and reduction of negative environmental impacts of production and service activities and also themanagement of the Company with greaterefficiency,controlandeconomicperformance. The functionality of the implemented environmental management process was audited by an external certification company, SGS Slovakia spol. s r.o., whichperformedasupervisoryauditin2011inordertomaintainthecertificate. The result of the audit confirmed the continuous increase in the environmental friendliness of the production equipment and also the improvement of theenvironmentinourcompanyaswellasinitssurroundings. We carried out six environmental projects in 2011 in the total amount of EUR 174,973 in order to meet the objectives of the approved Environmental ManagementSystemProgramme. As an active participant in the carbon oxide emission allowances trading scheme, in 2011, we continued to ensure the monitoring and regular evaluationofproducedcarbonoxideemissionsincompliancewiththelegislativerequirements;wedidnotexceedthespecifiedquotas. TheCompany'sstrategypaysspecialattentiontotheareaofhumanresourcesmanagement.Therefore,caringforouremployeesisaprioritythroughout the Company, from recruitment, selection and youth education through remuneration to the sophisticated occupational health and safety system, and permanenteducationandbenefits. Hence, in 2011, like every year, the Company adopted the Personnel, Wage, Social and Occupational Health and Safety Policy Programme.
