As a subcontractor, ŽP Informatika s.r.o. provides comprehensive services to Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. and its major subsidiaries in the field of information technology and information systems. In 2009 the company's sales frommerchandise and services totalled EUR 3 571 thousand and it reported profit after taxation in the amount of EUR 180 thousand. ŽP BYTOS, s.r.o. In 2009 the core business of ŽP BYTOS, s.r.o. included the management of rental apartments owned by Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. and the management of privately-owned apartments under management contracts. ŽP BYTOS generated revenues from sales totalling EUR 166 thousand and it reported profit after taxation in the amount of EUR 28 thousand. ŽP VVC s.r.o. The company was established in July 2008 and 2009 was the first year of its operations. The company performs research and development activities in physical metallurgy, metal forming and material engineering for Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. and for external clients. It also participates in international research projects. In 2009, the company reported profit after taxation in the amount of EUR 68 thousand. ŽP Šport, a.s. The core activities of ŽP Šport, a.s. mainly focus on sports, advertising, and promotion. It provided for the development of professional and amateur mass sports activities for the parent company’s employees and the general public. In 2009, the company’s sales totalled EUR 1 705 thousand and it reported profit in the amount of EUR 21 thousand. In 2009, expenses were considerably restricted and certain sports teams were terminated. This trend will continue in 2010.
